24V DC 75W 3.1A Hotstart OW model immersion lube oil heater is engineered for weathertight engine applications.

This heater features: 7.3 watts per square inch power density, a 3/4 in NPT mounting, 4-7/8 in (124 mm) probe, 2 qt (2.0 L) or less oil capacity, no thermostat. This heater is suitable for small engines.

Since this particular heater has low watt density, it is preferred for heating gear oil and other oils with medium-weight viscosity.

DC oil heaters can be powered directly from the battery, but will drain the battery very rapidly unless charged by an alternator or generator.

Since this heater has no thermostat, Hotstart recommends using a remote thermostat to protect the oil from overheating. When used with a thermostat control, all DC oil heaters must use a DC relay.
